The green color of the skin could not be explained from the standpoint of logic. It is neither paint nor dirt, as the coloring did not change when the children were bathed. Skin tone changed as the children’s diet expanded.
The issue of language remains unclear. A number of researchers are inclined to believe that the guys fled from the copper mines (in the Middle Ages, the exploitation of children was the norm). That would partly explain the green skin and hair. But they were well-groomed, well-dressed, developed and intelligent for their age. And the children, exhausted by overwork, could not come up with a fantastic story about moving in space.
In principle, there are no analogues of the place – St. Martin’s Land on our planet. At the same time, the brother and sister clearly had no idea about ordinary food, because they even ate beans in pods and only then, when they were shown them, did they begin to clean them.
