In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a 39-year-old mechanic lost both legs when he gestured to help a motorist enter the box. Now the culprit has been sued for 5 million rubles.
The prosecutor’s office of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky approved the indictment in a criminal case against a 46-year-old local resident.
She is accused of causing grievous bodily harm through negligence (part 1 of article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
“In July last year, the defendant, making a maneuver of entering a garage box for repair work, was not convinced of the safety of its implementation and hit a 39-year-old man who controlled the driver’s movement with commands and gestures. As a result, the victim received numerous injuries, qualified as causing serious bodily injury, including amputation of both legs,”— reported in the department.
In the criminal case, the representative of the victim filed a civil claim for compensation for moral and physical damage in the amount of more than 5 million rubles. The criminal case has been sent to the Magistrate’s Court.
